Civil War at the Fort
       
Student Discovery Day - September 10,
2010
Come to Fort Recovery and relive the
past, from 1861-1864. Experience historic events from the Civil War through
presentations and demonstrations from costumed historical re-enactors.
The first annual Civil War at the Fort
will take place at Ambassador Park in Fort Recovery, OH. The Fort Recovery
Ambassador's will be holding this event on September 10-12, 2010. We are
inviting you and your students to be involved in this educational event. The
students would arrive around 8:30am on Friday, Sept. 10th. At this time they
would split into their and placed with re-enactors, which will then take the
students around to different presentations and demonstrations throughout the
day. We are excited to announce that General Lee and Lee's lieutenants will be
present. Also, a battle re-enactment will take place. To register for this

This will be a learning experience for
all involved. From students to teachers to volunteers. Come ready to learn and
eager to ask questions.
